The ridge cap is used to cover the ridge of a gable roof, which is mostly used for private homes, but can also be installed on industrial buildings, farms, and warehouse roofs. The additional folded cap gives the roof a better appearance.
When installing roof ridge caps, they should overlap each other by approximately 5-10 cm. A properly installed ridge cap should ensure adequate roof ventilation and protect the ridge area from rain and snow. They are attached to the roof covering with self-tapping screws. The set includes ridge spacers that protect against snow drift without affecting roof ventilation.
The total requirement is calculated with a 5–10 cm allowance. For example, 10 m / 1.90 = 5.26, so 6 pieces of 2.0 m each would be required.
