What are steel shingles?
Steel shingles, also known as metal shingles, are one of the most popular roofing solutions. They can be installed on roofs with a slope angle exceeding 14°. Although they are similar to trapezoidal sheets, they look more attractive and have a wider range of applications. We recommend using them on single-pitched or double-pitched roofs with a large area, and modular steel tiles for more complex roofs.
All our products are galvanized and coated with protective coatings that improve quality and durability. Sheet cutting is automated – precisely tailored to the roof. Production and delivery times are longer than for modular tiles. Steel tiles are supplied in long sheets, so care must be taken during transport.

How to prepare a roof for installing steel tiles?
Steel tiles resemble ceramic tiles, but weigh significantly less – only about 5 kg/m². This allows for an increase in roof load without additional truss reinforcement. However, it is necessary to follow technical calculations.
Preparation work procedure:
- Check the geometry of the roof slopes – the tops must be in the same plane.
- Install gutters and a rainwater drainage system – before laying the initial membrane.
- Lay the membrane – Use vapor barrier foil with a 10 cm overlap.
- Install the battens and counter battens – according to the manufacturer's recommendations.
A roof prepared in this way is suitable for steel tiles, trapezoidal sheet metal, etc. Proper ridge ventilation ensures ventilation and protects the structure from moisture.
