What are modular steel shingles?
HANBUD brand modular steel shingles are an innovative roofing solution that is rapidly gaining popularity among builders and contractors. There are several reasons for this: the product is easily accessible, convenient to transport, quick and easy to install, and once installed, no joints are visible. We use the highest quality protective coatings for the production of modular tiles, which are covered by a 50-year warranty. This type of roofing is economical and environmentally friendly, as it reduces the amount of waste during construction. The amount of roofing required is calculated according to the specific needs of the customer – a 5% reserve is always added to the total roof area. Modular tiles are supplied in sheets with precise dimensions:
The size of the modern model sheet is 1210 mm x 720 mm.
Retto – 1180 mm x 720 mm.
Modular tiles are as light as trapezoidal profile sheets. They can be installed on a standard roof structure because they do not create additional load. Due to their compact size, these sheets are particularly suitable for complex, multi-sloped roofs with slopes, broken shapes, skylights, or balcony roofs. The dimensions of the sheet allow the material to be easily adapted even to very irregular surfaces.

Modular steel shingles – FAQ
Glossy and matte coatings without a zinc layer also have an outer polyester layer, which not only protects the metal but also gives the coating an attractive appearance.
Premium coatings such as Polar Mat and GreenCoat ensure maximum resistance to UV rays, temperature fluctuations, and corrosion. These solutions come with a 50-year warranty.
Typically, sheets are approximately 720–730 mm long and approximately 1200 mm wide. The usable width is slightly smaller due to overlapping joints.
Shingles cut to length are better suited for simpler shapes and larger roofs. These sheets are cut according to the specific dimensions of the project, which speeds up installation and reduces the number of joints.
